An official EA spokesperson has confirmed that Electronic Arts has fallen victim to a large hacker attack. The hackers obtained 780 gigabytes of data from EA, including the Frostbite source code, which is the game engine that powers FIFA, Madden, and the Battlefield series of video games, among others. This will certainly lead to exploits, aimbots, wallhacks and other game breaking hacks on day one, when Battlefield 2042 is launched on October 22, 2021. A true disaster for a company like EA.
