This is the remnants of a 995 pure gold anode bar that was dissolved in my electrolytic gold refining cell. It was rectangular in shape before the refining. As it dissolved in the cell from the electrolytic current flow, it took on the shape of a golden sharks tooth with beautiful grain structure revealed under the surface of the pure gold. I then fashioned a bail to connect it to a 22k gold chain to make unique piece of jewelry.
