How To Increase Your Credit Limit (Step by Step)

Your credit limit plays a big part in helping you boost your credit score. By getting a higher credit limit you can lower your credit utilization ratio which makes up about 30% of your credit score.

That's why every 6 months I call my credit card companies and ask for a credit limit increase.

But this isn't for everyone. If you aren't consistently paying your credit card bill on time and in full every single month, don't even watch this video. You need to be a responsible credit card user before you try this tactic.

But once you've done that, increasing your credit limit is a great way to help boost that credit score. I've used this tactic consistently over the past few years to boost both mine and Hanna's credit scores to over 790.
