http://www.tomscott.com - CharityShock was a project from CharityHack 2010. Tom's hooked up to an electric shock machine — voluntarily — and that machine's hooked up to the internet. Folks online, or in the auditorium, could donate money (or, in this case, use gift certificates we'd given), push a button and - via the internet - deliver an electric shock.
The web site and software were written by Tom; the hardware hack was by Dan W ( http://iamdanw.com ) and Julien Fourgeaud ( https://web.archive.org/web/20100603053455/http://www.fourgeaud.com/ )
Full code and a project writeup will be released towards the end of September 2010; if they're not there yet, pop back in a few days!
