Solar lighting module with design issues

This is one of many useful little modules available from online marketplaces. It states in the listing that it is designed for use from 6V to 45V but I absolutely do NOT recommend that it's used above 12V. That said, with a suitably protected three cell lithium pack, a suitable solar panel and your choice of light, it could be very useful.
The module does not have any charge control other than the blocking diodes between the solar panel and battery pack, so the battery MUST have protection against overcharge and over-discharge.
