Will Xbox One and PS4 be the last console generation? Is cloud gaming the future?

Emmett Shear, CEO and founder of Twitch, spoke at the Guardian Changing Media Summit 2015 about his doubts on future console generations, being an actual box with gaming hardware in it. He believes the next iteration of Sony and Microsofts consoles would be a set top box, like apple TV, with a cloud based streaming service. Kind of like Onlive in a box...with Netflix.
