Here's another quick test of my reproduction 'Starlite' material (v1) as made in my previous video: https://youtu.be/aqR4_UoBIzY
In this example I use a tile previously carbonized and held in my hand with a stack of zinc core pennies above. The melting point of zinc is roughly 420 C, which is a fairly easy test for this material. The propane torch flame is just under 2000 C, the model used being a Bernzomatic TS8000. There is more work to do before I am fully satisfied that I have reproduced the properties of the original Starlite, but I have a few suspicions of how to modify my current material that will bring it much closer.
