Lidl table light exploration (with schematic)

A look inside a fairly attractive mood light from Lidl. It has the option of warm white or colours, and shapes punched through the diffuser give a sparkling effect.

The construction is very simple, with a control PCB tacked on the end of a bit of LED tape and the whole thing stuck and cable tied to an internal pillar.

If you lose the remote the light will still be usable, as it defaults to warm white when powered up.

If the LED tape were to fail then it is viable to service it with new tape or even just customise the unit using the internal structure to support your own choice of light source.

It's affordable, hackable fun.
