What a 4yr Old Taught Me About Dreams and Money

Ask a kid what he wants to be when he grows up, and I guarantee he won't say "an office worker who hates my job." No, he will say something huge, ridiculous, and maybe even a bit absurd.
But as we grow up, somewhere along the way, we stop dreaming. We stop believing those things are possible. We settle.
One of my favorite movie scenes of all time is from Up In The Air.
George Clooney is tasked with firing "Bob" (J.K. Simmons) and ends up giving him a pep talk about using this as an opportunity to finally chase his dream of becoming a chef. He asks Bob, "How much did they first pay you to give up on your dreams?" and Bob responds "27 grand a year."
And that's when you feel it hit you.
Geez. That's it? To throw your dreams away? That doesn't seem like a worthwhile trade to me.
And yet so many of us have done that exact thing.
Here's the full clip: https://youtu.be/3MlWKI-6Btg
That's what I'm talking about in today's video.
I hope you'll check this one out. It's a message I feel so strongly about spreading.
You'll learn:
+ Why kids still believe dreams are possible
+ How society forces us to stop dreaming
+ A practical example of cutting back and make more to achieve your goals
+ The importance of approaching your dreams like a kid
Plus see some funny footage of my old band in high school ;)
Thanks for watching!
