AI as a Blame Deflector Shield

AI has a lot of technical problems, but it has a lot of business problems, too. I talk a lot about the faults and issues that Generative AI has, but in some cases, the problem isn't the technical issues with companies using bad AI, but rather the business problems that they can try to "solve" with AI - potentially to the detriment of their customers, competitors, suppliers and employees, and what recourse exists for the people potentially so harmed.
