Artifact Collecting, Should You Do It? Why or Why Not?

This is a bit off-topic for me but an important subject. Collecting prehistoric Indian artifacts is practiced by many, what are the legal and ethical considerations? I own some artifacts that I will be showing in my videos so this will set out my standpoint on the subject when poeple ask me about those artifacts.
