Inside a triple bulb solar lantern

This light came from an eBay seller and was shipped locally in the UK.

These very common solar lanterns should be regarded as a starter kit for customisation to make a safer and more reliable product. They have a nice case with lots of potential for custom modifications, including use as a USB powered indoor feature light.

The circuitry has no major surprises for this very common style of light.

The lithium cell actually tested at the full stated 1200mAh capacity which is very surprising.

The charging glitch was strange. I couldn't cause it to happen again, so it's possible that the processor locked up during power cycling of the circuitry. This is why I'm not a fan of software control of lithium cell charging.
