Blue Chip Mine - part 1 (hardrock mining)

Finally taking a video of the "Blue Chip" mine down by hope. My friend Dave was part of the team back in the 60's and 70's that was testing this mine to see if there was anything economical there. They decided it was not economical, but he says it would be perfect for a hobbiest miner. This trip we opened up the road for the ATV, and explored the area including 3 adits, and took a few hundred pounds of the quartz seam back for crushing. We are hoping we find at least a little gold when we crush it.
