We found SO MUCH GOLD that we couldn't even pan it all at the river!
I'm back at the HOT SPOT on my Fraser River bedrock gold claim, and this time I've brought along Mike from Hidden Village Creations and Cyle from Crux Prospecting for what turned out to be an absolutely incredible day of gold mining!
Our plan was simple: move some of the massive rocks covering the bedrock and get at the gold trapped underneath. Of course, moving those rocks was anything but simple! It took some serious effort and teamwork, but we finally managed to move them enough to reach the gold-rich material below.
We fired up the highbanker and managed to get in two short runs. What we found was beyond anything we had hoped for!
Not only did we recover a beautiful gold nugget, but the concentrates were absolutely LOADED with gold! There was so much fine gold that trying to pan it all out at the river would have risked losing some of our hard-earned treasure.
For the first time in a long time, we had to pack up our concentrates and bring them home for careful processing. There was simply TOO MUCH GOLD TO PAN!
Great friends, hard work, and an unbelievable amount of gold. Days like this are exactly why I love gold prospecting!
