🌎 Enjoy Dorodango Anywhere with the “Noriko Method”! 🌍

This is my original method, developed over years of research, to make Dorodango accessible to everyone, even in places without clay-rich soil.
I have publicly shared the basic recipe, which includes enough information for hosting workshops.

✅ You can share photos or videos of your completed Dorodango on social media
✅ You can teach friends and family for personal enjoyment

Instructions
① Mix all the materials thoroughly and knead well.
② Shape it into a bird. If cracks appear, use water to smooth them out and adjust the shape as you like.
③ Roll the surface against the side of a cup or glass to compact it.
④ Once the shape is set and the Dorodango has hardened slightly, let it dry overnight.

Polishing Process

⑤ Mix 3 drops of olive oil with water and pour it into a dish.
⑥ Place the bird Dorodango in the mixture, fully wet it, and rub it with your fingers to create a muddy surface.
⑦ Sprinkle clay powder and rub it in.
⑧ Wet it again to create a smooth, muddy surface.
⑨ Polish with a cup or glass.
⑩ Continue polishing for about 15–20 minutes, occasionally adding water.

Finishing Process

⑪ Mix mica powder with clay powder and rub it in.
⑫ Use a tiny amount of water to blend it evenly.
⑬ Lightly polish with a cup, being careful not to over-polish.
⑭ Repeat steps ⑪, ⑫, and ⑬ once more.
⑮ Paint details with acrylic paint. You can dilute it with water, but I didn’t use water this time.
⑯ Let it dry for about 5 minutes.
⑰ Sprinkle clay powder and polish. (Repeat this step several times.)
⑱ Apply a bit of olive oil to the side of a cup and start polishing gently.
(Since the paint can rub off, press rather than rub when polishing.)
⑲ Sprinkle more clay powder and polish again.
⑳ Finish by polishing with a cloth. ✨
