I'm putting an EV battery on my HOUSE

EV battery packs are generally well designed with a large capacity. why not make use of those that have come from written off vehicles. I hope I don't end up with a flood damaged pack. How does this tie into a inverter and home energy system? Ill break it all down so you don't have to or so you can follow my example.
