In this video I demonstrate back panning gold concentrates and also show how the double snuffer method can help eliminate black sands more easily. By using one snuffer for clean gold, and a second snuffer for sucking up black sand, you can speed up the process and get your gold ready to weigh.
Ultra fine flour gold can add an extra level of difficulty to this, so always start your final panning with well classified concentrates. A 20 mesh screen is helpful if you pan the larger stuff out separately from the smaller stuff. To get things even more cleaned up, you can always repeat the process with just a single spoon at a time until it's just 100% gold that remains.
I hope this video was helpful for you!
