Aside from the whole Elf on a Shelf franchise being a bit suss, this accessory takes it to a whole new level of squirminess. It's basically a fake CCTV camera that you can mount in your children's bedroom and then tell them that they are being observed by elves at all times.

I wonder how mummy and daddy would like one above THEIR bed.

It's odd how the main base for this product is derived from a classic push-on/push-off battery operated light that dates back to the tungsten bulb era.

And remember kids. If the CCTV camera has a flashing LED then it's probably fake.
