Plug-In Batteries Aren’t As Simple As You Think…

Can you really just plug a home battery into the wall? In parts of Europe, the answer is yes. In Britain, things are a little different.

In this video, I’m using the new EcoFlow STREAM AC 5000 to explore the idea of plug-in home batteries, why the 800W plug-in approach isn’t necessarily the whole story, and why having a battery properly connected might actually make more sense if you want to use its full capability.

We also put the AC 5000 through some real-world use at Dave’s house, look at its 5kWh capacity, backup power, expansion options and what shifting electricity from cheap overnight periods could actually save.
