Backyard Treasure Hunting pt1

A brief intro to some backyard archeology / treasure hunting! My yard used to be the site of an old saloon 140 years ago, and we've found remnants when we dig holes in the garden (bottles, nails, and bullet casings!). There's also an old news article about gold in the well! While this is the wrong geology for gold and hoaxes like that were common at the time, it's still cool to have a lost treasure myth literally in the back yard! In this video I'm starting an initial soil-consistency survey of the back yard, with the aim of identifying any former privy (outhouse) pits or old walls that might be interesting places to dig. Maybe in a future video I can find some more bottles!
