Why the GTA 6 LEAK felt underwhelming! It wasn’t the graphics…

Devs have started to share early alpha gameplay of games like Uncharted, Horizon Zero Dawn or Control on Twitter in order to side with Rockstar, stating that ‘every game looks garbage while it’s in development’ and that devs don’t always ’develop the graphics first’. But after having had a few days to digest the biggest leak in video game history, which was the leak of 60-90 clips from the early development of Rockstar’s and Take2’s Grand Theft Auto 6, I have to admit that I am disappointed by what I’ve seen. I expected to see more creativity, innovation and fresh ideas. And after having the core questions answered, like what is the REAL story behind the leaks? How could it happen? Was Rockstar hacked? And if so, who is the hacker? And did he possibly hold Rockstar and Take2 ransom? It is time to reflect on the leak itself. What were the mechanics we’ve seen? What was missing? Will Vice City be the only large city? And why did it feel like a giant GTA V DLC?
