​ Ten days ago I set 30 chicken eggs in a DIY Homemade incubator with automatic egg turner. Today we candle those eggs to see if our Cockerel or Rooster as some would call them is actually doing anything.

Candling eggs shows you whether your wasting your time in continuing to incubate the chicken eggs. If they are fertile then you can continue, for the eggs that are not fertile you can discard these and this way they do not turn bad in the heated conditions.
