Surprising Ways Copper is Hiding in Almost Everything You Own

I usually talk about precious metals – gold, silver, and platinum. Today I am introducing a series of videos on copper – because copper is incredibly critical to our lives. In this series I’ll be showing you how to make copper from scratch, and how to recognize copper ores. I'll talk about the close association of copper with gold/silver in ore deposits. We'll discuss how critical copper is to our modern civilization – including motors, electronics or electric transmission – it all uses copper. Just about all the experts predict a future shortage of copper as many developing nations upgrade their technology and infrastructure. Developed nations will need more copper as they convert vehicles from gas to electricity. We are just not finding or building enough copper mines to keep up. Lots of folks are accumulating copper as the price is high at the moment.
