After my last video showing how I connected an electric vehicle battery to my home energy system, the comments section exploded with questions. In this video I go through some of the most common questions people asked about EV batteries used for home energy storage including safety, installation, grid interaction, and how the system actually performs in the real world.
This video is a follow-up where I address the concerns raised by viewers and explain how the system works, what I would do differently, and where this project is heading next.
Using repurposed EV batteries for home energy storage could play a big role in the future of energy systems. As electric vehicles age, their batteries can still store large amounts of energy and may be repurposed for grid support, home storage, and renewable integration.
