Why Phil Spencer can’t deliver games for Xbox! Game Pass is in a bad place & will get more expensive

Back in 2018, Xbox and Microsoft acquired Ninja Theory, Undead Labs, Compulsion Games, Playground Games and Obsidian Entertainment. Later they bought Bethesda through Zenimax Media and Blizzard / Activision. Those studios are working on games like Ghostwire: Tokyo, Redfall, Forza Motorsport 8, Starfield, Diablo 4, Overwatch 2, Everwild, a new Gears of War game, Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 and State of Decay 3. Just to name a few. It can’t be said that ‘xbox has no games’...BUT Xbox has no giant triple A games like Playstation has. God of War Ragnarok is currently collection plenty of 10/10 reviews and the hype is enormous. Why is that? Why is Microsoft and Xbox struggling to produce high end triple A games on the level of a ‘the last of us’ or and ‘Uncharted’ game? In this video I try to answer that question and speculate about the future of gamepass.
