The last of the Polar Operation Environment Satellites, NOAA 15 and 19, are being shut down this week! These are the last ones from the US that are easy to receive with a VHF radio or simple SDR setup.

Before these go away, I wanted to test out something that's been on my list for a while. These satellites transmit data in three frequency ranges, VHF, L-Band, and S-Band microwave. Since I have antennas for all three, I wanted to record and compare them all. I also wanted to fix my VHF receiver system and set up a new L-band antenna, even though they won't be as useful soon!
