Interesting mass-produced LED "neon" technique

This is the first time I've seen an LED panel like this use a single custom shaped PCB for all the LEDs. I'd guess the holes are to allow alignment in the pick and place machine that makes the manufacture of these panels ultra fast.

There will still be some human involvement for the threading of the wires, soldering and placing the aluminium PCB and cover on the panel.

The witch themed panel must involve a lot of manual labour as humans are still the best choice for applying the LED tape and its interconnecting wires. It is possible that the diffusion strip is mass-prepared in a jig.
It still involves a lot of dexterity and force to assemble the sign and I could see the workers who make these suffering finger joint problems in the future as many manual workers do.

The bow panel is very simple and designed for fast manual assembly. Other variants have tape with different coloured sections of LEDs on them to allow a multi colour panel.

These panels all came from different local suppliers. The pumpkin came from One Beyond in the UK, the witch was being sold by a local charity shop and the bow was from Poundland.
