I've tried melting and casting aluminum in the past, with a DIY furnace made from bricks and scraps. That never quite worked right, but now Vevor has sent me a real melting furnace to try!
The furnace worked great, aside from some warping of the lid and trouble getting it started (I needed to give it more gas at first). It melted aluminum cans, scrap, and even brass much faster and more reliably than my old furnace!
