Garden junk - old chairs, broken plant pots, cracked toys - it’s everywhere. Globally, there are close to a billion plastic garden chairs, and in the UK alone over 500 million plant pots are produced every year. Most of it isn’t recycled. In fact, a lot of people say it can’t be, or that it’s not even worth trying.

So we’re putting that to the test. We collect piles of broken plastic from our local community to see if we can give it a new life in our workshop - experimenting with melting, moulding, and extruding to find out whether this material really can be recycled into something useful again.
