Crabbing the Open Pacific in a Dinghy

Can our little dinghy handle the open ocean as we try for crabs with @OutdoorChefLife ?? We run into trouble with our boat and Taku runs into trouble below the water. We're taking our Off Grid homestead across Canada, the USA and Mexico in our DIY Overlander. We'll be hunting and fishing and generally being resourceful the whole way.
