In 1888 the new town of South Saint Paul unveiled an electric suspended monorail train connecting the bluff tops with the Mississippi River valley. Developers Charles Clark and John Bryant hoped the train would catch on, but failed to get the permits needed to extend it. After a few demonstration runs, the track and train were abandoned and eventually demolished. In this video I set out to see if there are any remnants of the old monorail left behind.
