In this video, I review a variety of external microphones for use with the brand new iPhone 5. Using external microphones (instead of the internal mic) helps make your video and audio recordings reach a greater level of professionalism.

I review the Shure PG48 (like an SM58), the Audio-Technica ATR-3350, the Audio Technica PRO88W-R35 Wireless Lavaliere system, the Pyle-Pro PDWM96, the Tascam iXZ, the VeriCorder iPhone XLR audio adapter, and various KVConnection iPhone audio adapters.

I have been testing different microphones and audio input methods with iPhones for the past four years. Please build on my experience and figure out new ways to get high quality sound into your iPhone 5! (Note: These microphones have also been tested on the iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, and iPhone 3GS).
