Details regarding how to make the tooling shown in this video and the compositions used for cored rockets can be found here: http://www.grassrootsdiy.com/?page_id=68

This video shows how black powder rockets are rammed by hand using handmade tooling. Only non-sparking metals may be used for rocket tooling, such as the aluminum and brass I show here. Black powder is the only composition that may be rammed by hand. Fuels using other oxidizers must be pressed via hydraulic jack remotely, as ramming would be dangerous.

For those of you beginning to get serious about building fireworks it will be of great benefit to acquire a user license from the ATF. Doing so will allow you to purchase and transport commercial fireworks, which is what handmade fireworks will classify as. There is an excellent set of dvd's available published by another pyrotechnic here on YouTube to walk you through the process. I can personally recommend them. More info about those dvd's can be seen here:

The tubes I use for this rocket are from PyroDirect: http://www.pyrodirect.com/ecom-prodshow/092-0016.html #NightHawkInLight
