I bought a boat to replace my trusty old seadoo for gold mining this year.
I decided to get a Jon boat with an Evinrude 60/40 jet outboard. The engine should have plenty of power to plane the boat with about 800lbs of gear on board. The riveted Jon boat hull is a bit on the fragile side, but it makes for a light weight and affordable gold mining setup.
