Smelting gold ore from the newly discovered vein at the Blew Chip Mine and it is starting to pay off. In this video we smelt the gold ore cons from 162 lbs of vein material. From the results of this smelt we can calculate the grade of this material. We use the Kwik Kiln KK8 smelting kiln for the litharge fusion smelt, and the Kwik Kiln Cupelling kiln for cupelling the lead prill and recovering a nice gold bead. 1 gram of gold from 162 lbs or rock translates into about 12 grams per ton gold.
