This socket was sent to me for analysis when it failed to charge the original users devices. I think it's probably a good idea the original owner got rid of it, since it has a rather unique earthing arrangement.
The only major departures from the chip manufacturers sample design was a missing capacitor in series with the primary snubber network capacitor and some slightly adjusted component values. Track layout may have played a part in the odd circuit instability at moderate current loads.
